Apple Cider Vinegar UPDATE!

About a week ago, I told you all that for my next trick, I would be drinking apple cider vinegar to my daily routine. I did some research and decided to drink 1 tablespoon per 8 ounce glass of water at least once a day. I anticipated it to be miserable, but that I could survive anything for the potential health benefits. Boy, I was surprised!

I didn’t think it tasted bad! It’s certainly not my new favorite drink and bare in mind I drink lots and lots of water, 1 cup of black coffee in the morning, and rarely some good cold presses juices and that’s about it. So anything with any kind of flavor is exciting to me! I didn’t have trouble drinking it down and so I decided to drink one cup in the morning, and one in the evening.

Day 1, I drank it before dinner. I noticed something within 30 minutes. I had been getting over a cold and a still had some head congestion and fullness in my ears. Suddenly, my ears began popping and congestion drained from my sinuses. I thought maybe it was my imagination, but I was excited! I also noticed that I started going to the bathroom a ton that evening and the next morning as fluid began draining off of me. It was insane.

The next day, I noticed more of the same. My sinuses were much clearer, I could hear better, and fluid continued to drain off. My energy increased and I felt clearer in my thinking.

Saturday I had one of my best timed long runs to date and had a ton of energy for everything else I needed to get done that day!

My husband began drinking apple cider vinegar as well and he’s noticed that his normal morning aches, pains, and stiffness are completely gone!  He’s slept better and noticed an increase in energy.

We’ve not really weighed so I haven’t noticed any change in water weight, but we feel better and that’s worth the $5.99 and drinking something that resembles sour apple juice 2-3 times a day :). We’ve decided to try and get a glass in the morning and take another one before dinner and sometimes before lunch if we remember.  So far it’s been a very easy thing to incorporate!
